Pig Town Fling aka Wild Horses at Stony Point. One of my favorite tunes to play at contra dances. Long ago, before we knew better, we played it without the C part: AABB.

Wooooouh! Whut is this!? (Greetings from North Yorkshire) More!
Really an enjoyable tour of a great tune. Thanks!
Very nice take on a great tune
Magnificent
Sounds like a song for a sailor. Lovely work Keep it up. Also hope to see you soon I also play accordion. Diatonic. have a great week. Jody.
Greetings from South Yorkshire ;<)
That’s gorgeous.
So glad that you continue to post tunes from Strange Times. Your collection of lead sheets is first rate, worth every penny, but actually seeing and hearing you play brings me home. Of course now I'll have to teach myself to yodel ;-)
Do you see what you are doing to your bellows?
Hi Jody, I really enjoyed your little performance here the song was so cute and gave me some laughter. It is total Genius. BRAVO! Beautiful work. Very entertaining. No Doubt Loved every second to the end. 6:50. Brilliantly sung and played.
I think I love the sound of this little concertina a lot better I guess it is newer and has a lot of great seals in it. I know the older an accordion any style gets they often lose a lot of air from poor sealing. But this sounded great I love your little tunes. BRAVO my friend BRAVO!... Have a nice Weekend.
It truly is an interesting lay out of the buttons on both sides. I'ts so cool that you can get so much music out of such a little concertina. BARVO. keep up the great work Jody. Patrick of CANADA!
Cool little song. Loved it. thanks for the post. Very nice playing.
I see the treble is in the right hand and the bass chords in the left the same as a Diatonic or any accordion for that matter. NEETO
That is a cute little song I like the title going to the wedding to get some cake that would be me. LOL Well done I loved your great sound on this little concertina. Lets keep in touch. I like these old songs. I could never play a concertina and never understood how they worked mainly because I have never had one in my hands. Bravo nice little tune. You play very well.
I could listen to you all evening! Thanks!!! 🎶🤩🎵🎶
Jody, I think this is one of the best songs you've posted. I love the intro you provide before squeezing it out. Appalachia for life!
Beautiful. ❤
I dance like a one legged hippo on a good day so I'd probably get away with nobody noticing ;<) Nice tune Jody Still got a spare room in Yorkshire if you are coming over this year
Jody, that rocked!
Nice one Jody - from the big fella in Yorkshire - coming over this year ??
Magic
Super tune ,lovely lilt . ( the wedding scene in The Long Riders)
Yes, the lilt factor is a big part of what makes this tune so classic. This is one of the first tunes I learned, and 40 years later, I'm still playing it.
🥰
This is just delightful! it makes me happy! Thank you! (by chance do you have arrangement willing to share? )
Playing Walnut Gap makes me happy too. It is so carefree and frivolous and optimistic. Sorry, no dots for this tune as I am playing it by ear. If you are looking for lessons, I would be glad to show you how.
The world needs more diddly-dum.
Fun happy tune! 🪗
Guitar players do not even worry about getting blister on their fingers at first. Concertina players complain about, the straps are to this and that and the buttons are to so and so. the weight is to x y z. the bellows are to whatever...
No blisters here.
Brilliant
Magic.
Great tune, great playin' 🙂
Thanks!
So great to know you are still making beautiful music Jody
Still squeezing here, there and everywhere.
❤❤❤🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
That was great! Are you planning to publish a songbook of these old timey tunes?
No publishing plans for this C/G Anglo concertina Old Time video project. I do have scores and tab for my style of harmonic play that I share with my students. Lots of Old Time tablature but also other great concertina tunes from England, Ireland, etc. My students often request scores for all sorts, everything from pop songs to pipe tunes.
Jody! Sounding great as always. Missed seeing you this past summer at Clifftop. Maybe this year? I think we’ve played this one before :)
Ps it’s William from Jacksonville
@@wlcolledge Greetings, William from Jacksonville. Yeah, health issues kept me home last year. Much better now. I hope to visit you at your campsite at Florida WV this year, Clifftop 2024.
How long have you been playing.. Outstanding tunes.
I've been playing Anglo concertina since the early 80s. My older brother plays it too, and so I heard this merry squeezebox music as a kid.
Nice...
Honestly it feels like if Scott Joplin wrote for the concertina i love it sm
True. These fiddle tunes in C always have that ragtime feel. For inspiration, I love listening to Scott Joplin and the Piedmont guitar players like John Hurt.
Loving this.❤ Ireland ...love the tempo...
J.P, Fraley bowed some some good tunes. We often play this one for contra dances here in NYC. It just fits so nicely on the fiddle and the concertina too.
I love that! Those two albums he made for Rounder are a couple of my favorite old-time albums ever!
Your playing is amazing! Impeccable rhythm ! The concertina sounds amazing as well!
Outstanding !!
Wow!
awesome playing
When I saw the title I was thinking Aura Lea from when I was a kid. This is so much more upbeat. I love it!
Same woman, I think.
Awesome fiddling on the squeezebox!
P r o m o s m ☺️
Cajun fox style ! A lot of fun from your piece.
It blows my mind that you can sing AND manage the complexity of this instrument! Luckily I don't need my mind, as my feet will dance me away!
